Lifestyles of progressive and welcoming people
The progressive community of Warner Robins has always been vibrant.
Growth and change are constants here. Over 21,000 new citizens are
projected by the year 2010, and Warner Robins is more than ready to
welcome them. But the growth here is not haphazard; it is planned and
coordinated to accommodate newcomers and old-timers alike.
Over $98 million has been invested in new
educational infrastructures. A new futuristic, high-tech industrial park
and the regular upgrading of sewage plants and other support
infrastructures has doubled Warner Robins’ capacity for new industry.
Commercial development is really picking up on Highway 96, and also
continues along Russell Parkway, which will soon be a third access point
to Interstate-75 for Warner Robins. The three roadways run parallel,
each carrying traffic east to west, and both handle large amounts of
traffic when Robins Air Force Base’s 25,000+ employees depart and arrive
for their jobs. Other road improvements are ongoing to address increased
traffic.
The mall, the Galleria at Centerville,
draws thousands of shoppers every week. Multiple housing developments
are under construction in all parts of the city and county. Renovations
and expansions, like these, and on healthcare facilities and other
service-oriented firms have occurred at a record pace over the past
decade.
